Testimonials

I drive a 1982 Corvette. My average summer temp is 98+ degrees air temperature. My car was running at more than 230 degrees with the AC off (240+ up hill). I tried magic water from a bottle, lower temp thermostats, and even driving without a thermostat. Nothing helped. I switched to a DeWitts Aluminum radiator and my car has not gotten hotter than 200 degrees with the AC. I'm using the same water pump and thermostat as before. Installation was easy. It took longer to flush the old radiator, than it did to install the direct fit replacement. DeWiits radiators are absolutely the best money can buy. I can once again drive my car on a hot summer day. THANK YOU!

I need to buy a new radiator for my '64 coupe. Can anyone recommend a good source for radiators.

“DeWitts reproduction radiators have been judged many times, and even experience NCRS judges have accepted them as original. All too often, the cost “advantage” of the copper/brass replacement radiators results in an overheating vehicle. DeWitts aluminum radiators are clearly the best choice.”

“I installed the new radiator into my 1965 (365HP w/air) and I am very impressed! My coolant temperature is down about 30 degrees. I can finally use my air conditioning here in Texas. I had a copper/brass replacement radiator and at highway speeds it ran about 210 without the air. I can’t get it to go over 190 with the air on. I am very impressed with the detailing. I am a NCRS master judge and I appreciate the good work! Thanks again, I will spread the word.”

“Thank you for a wonderful product. I installed one of your correct aluminum radiators in my ’67 small block Corvette and I couldn’t be more pleased. The fit and appearance is perfect factory original, but the best part is that it runs cooler. I can now drive on a 90-degree day and it stays cool. What an improvement over the copper/brass radiator I replaced. Keep up the good work.”

I spent a few minutes talking to Mr. DeWitt about my overheating problem in my 1980 Vette after installing a 383CID/440HP stroker engine. The new 4 row brass radiator was not cooling properly here in the 100 degree Texas heat. He was very helpful and informative about the differences in his aluminum radiator and the conventional brass ones. Within the week, I installed the new DeWitt's radiator. I could not be more pleased with the difference - at least a 30 degree drop with no more than 190 degrees at idle with the A/C running!! It would climb to 230 under the same conditions before with the 4 row brass radiator. Thank you does not say enough! Bill Fri

“I just received the new aluminum radiator for my ’66 roadster. The running temperature with the copper/brass replacement radiator was between 200-240 degrees. I could not use the air conditioning without overheating, even with the help of an electric fan. I am happy to say that the new DeWitt/Harrison aluminum radiator runs at 180 degrees and I can now use the AC on a 95 degree day.

“My experience is that your aluminum radiators perform flawlessly. I am quite impressed when informed afterwards that the radiator I judged as “original” was in reality a DeWitt Radiator. Your products are of exceptional quality in the Corvette Hobby.”

I just installed your aluminum radiator in my 1966 corvette 327/350. Nothing was changed except the radiator and the coolant. The result is a true 30 degree minimum drop in temp. 210 before to 180 after. Used to be on the highway the temp would climb to 220-230 unless I put the heat on. Now it stays at 180. The old radiator was a copper/brass repro and I don't know how old, as it was in the car when I got it. Ordering was easy, delivery was quick and it looks great, too. Great job. Thank you very much. I am a believer! Rich Giannotti

“After installing two copper/brass replacement radiators in my 62’ F.I. driver, I finally installed your aluminum radiator. The car runs cooler and the F.I. works better. These are outstanding radiators in both originality and performance. Keep up the great work!”

Finally broked down and bit the bullet. The radiator, a copper/brass unit had was adequate to keep the motor cool until I changed the horsepower config from the stock 300 horse to the 365 horse. In a word, horsepower is heat. When I added heat the replacement radiator just coudn't handle it. My wife and I took a spin and the outside temp had to be 95 degrees. We toughed it out for about an hour when we found ourselves in bumper to bumper traffic. The temp guage never moved beyond 185 and that new rad passed with flying colors.

After fightning an over-heating problem for four months (added a fan, tried the additive, took out the thermostat)in my 1964 small block Corvette I finally deceided the only way to solve the problem was a new radiator. After 5 days researching the net I decided on a Dewitt Direct fit. I ordered it on the 11th, and received it the 15th. All I can say is THANK YOU! My "second love" now runs at 180 degrees ALL day long in 90 degree Florida heat. You build a great product-deliver fantastic service, and I will be very happy to recomend you and your product to any one who needs a new radiator. Again thank you very much for a very fine product.
